Humans are so easy to manipulate. Their assumptions are always to realistic, create an assumption outside the boundaries of what they perceive as plausibly, and they will think themselves a fool for even considering it. Take aliens for example. If a Human were to conservatively estimated the chances that there were other intelligent life forms someone across the billions of stars around the world, the logical thing would be to assume there were, but they just hadn't contacted them yet. They never assumed we were already on earth. Walking among them, slowly assessing and learning. My job was to help us blend in. To get to know humans. But my job was a whole lot more interesting than just that. I was assigned to the very worst of the human race, those who murder, those who find joy in the suffering of others, even those who steal. Yes stealing may sound anticlimactic compared to the other terrible things humanity does, but its hard to measure evils. An extreme act of evil for one person may be murder, while an extreme act for another may simply be robbing someone of their television. We created a sort of scale using the human numerical system of the extremes some people would reach, a one on the scale could be a simple thief, a ten was a much more, "unsavoury", human, there weren't many tens. There were a few famous ones such as Jack the Ripper and Vlad the Impaler, those who lived of the suffering of others. The point is, most people don't reach these "extremes" of evil. The people that do are holding humanity back.
We have developed a way to blend in, we upload a false consciousness into the minds of others. We than literally become those people, inhabiting the personalities we created as our primary personality, we forget about our previous lives until a designated time, upon which all our observations of humanity are broadcasted back and we can be teleported back to the mothership. It's an incredibly effective technique. How do you make the alien seem like a human? You make him one! The first successful attempt was a girl named Amy Amdrews. Her consciousness was designed to be that of a regular person, but she was given very high levels of intelligence. We wanted to see how humanity would react to those they believed superior to them. The results were very interesting. Some wanted her to succeed, they recognised her potential and encouraged her. There were others that were intimidated by her, they tried to prevent her from succeeding, one even tried to threaten her. The funny thing about humans as that they exaggerate their talents. It must be weird being a human, I often thought, knowing that you will probably never be the best at anything. There will always be a better swimmer, a better movie director, a better public speaker, a better fighter, a better looking person than you, whether it be in your home town or in some foreign city in china. That's just how it is on a planet of seven billion. Then why did Amy Andrews parents congratulate her so profusely, the day she completed what the humans call a triathlon? It wasn't a great accomplishment, there were hundreds of other children who finished the race that day, she didn't even win. We found our answer, it's a biological trait. Amy's parents wanted here to feel good about herself, because it made them feel good about themselves. It's the very reason humans have children. Their brain rewards them for caring and nurturing, there is no feeling they call love, it is purely a biological reaction to make them breed and preserve the human race. Amy saw through this of course, even at eight years old she was already learning and understanding the basic psychology of humanity. The aliens memories were restored after that, we had learned enough and had taken our first step towards understanding humans.
Next came the experiment I conducted. We created someone evil and examined the reactions of humanity. We had to be careful when inserting aliens into a human body, if a host died before their memory of their true selves was restored, it could kill the alien possessing that human. We couldn't afford any deaths, (there are not many of our species, one hundred thousand and two to be exact, which when compared to humanity is a very small number). We placed our new host in the First World War. Real heroes stood out amongst the rest during war, and cowards became the mould of the faceless enemy that stood on both sides of the battlefield. Those who were evil heeded very interesting results during war, the simplest extreme of evil your ones and twos, became fours and fives, after witnessing the horrors of war, simple thieves became murderers, and those who were already corrupt became completely psychotic. Our plan was to put an alien into the body of a psychopath, we would give him superior intelligence and see how he reacted. If he portrayed the normal symptoms of a psychopath, we would know how well humans could be trusted and controlled, if he reacted too differently, we would give him back his memories, destroying his false persona and immediately cancelling the experiment. This one specific experiment nearly destroyed humanity. The body the host inhabited was a man you may have heard of. He was called Adolf Hitler. Immediately something went wrong, we could no longer feed back the aliens memories if required, as we overshot the intelligence. There were literally not enough connections in the human brain we were using, to establish the memories of two intelligence species. All we could do was watch as our subject manipulated humanity and killed millions, creating a Second World War. We very nearly gave up on humanity after this, upon seeing what humans could do to one another, but after looking ahead on this new timeline we saw that they could change. They learned from the mistakes of the Second World War and evolved in that time loop into a better society. Until the invention of time travel of course. Humanity got themselves out of one mess we created, and made a far bigger one. That's why I believe they have to die. They are too dangerous.
I have big plans, a disguise if you will, to destroy this planet. I have designed an intelligence, for me to inhabit. He will be intelligent enough to manipulate people into following him, he will have just a hint of pyschosis and best of all, he will have access to a time machine. His memory will be restored after 35 years which is more than enough time I need. He has to remain logical enough so that my true intentions aren't revealed, he has to seem like someone who will provide us with new results about the behavioural traits of humans, but remain chaotic enough to destroy humanity. They think its an experiment about the human trait of hope. I have created the perfect beast, I am ready to inhabit the body. I already have a name i'll use. Paul Kramer.
